Days or weeks

My brother-in-law Michael today reported a difficult day for my new nephew:

Today was a difficult day for Quinn as he is struggling with his breathing when his oxygen is lowered and he is given freedom to breathe on his own. It could be days or weeks before his breathing tube is removed. He has a new IV line in his forehead now too since the one in his arm is no longer working. He also has lines in his foot and the chest area. He had an umbilical line for the first 10 days as it only lasts in infants about that long.

Getting Quinn to breathe on his own would be a huge step. We’ll just have to be patient and keep thinking hopeful thoughts.
