Two TiVo Developments

Posted on Friday 1 June 2007

TiVo GuyTwo neat developments with TiVo this week. First, the “Series 3″ — the high definition, stand-alone model (that is, it works with cable TV services without requiring a separate cable box) — has been sighted on Amazon for about $400 after rebate. Still expensive, but far cheaper than when it debuted late last year for $800.

Second, per Ars Technica, TiVo’s CEO announced that they will release “a mass appeal priced HD unit…later this year.”

All good news for TiVo fans like me.
